MARSHALL, Ill. — Clyde O. Pine, age 80, of Marshall, passed away in his home at 11:26 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012. He was born on Sept. 7, 1932, in rural Clark County, Ill., to Fred and Laura (Waller) Pine. He married Carol Cadwallader Harris on Oct. 6, 2007, in Nobel, Ill. He was retired after many years of service from Ford in Marshall.

He is survived by his wife Carol of Marshall; two sons, Rick (Wanda) Pine of Marshall, and Randy (Katrina) Pine of Deer Park, Texas; six grandchildren, Jeremiah (Michelle) Pine of Mascoutah, Ill., Tabitha Braswell of Terre Haute, Ind., Christopher (Roni) Pine of Marshall, Katie (Dallas) Gustafson of Marshall, Naomi (Kenny) Mcdougal of Franklin, Ky., and Jerry (Huy) Tran of LaPorte, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Danessa Pine, Kensley Pine, Makayla Tran, and Matthew Tran; and two stepdaughters, Debra (John) Gilbert of Olney, Ill., and Cynthia (Cecil) Rowe of Temple, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Lee; four brothers, James Pine, Alvin Pine, Lee Pine, and Estel Pine; and one sister, Marvel Wallace.

He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Paris, Ill., and loved to read.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. CDT Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. 6th St., in Marshall, with Doug Lathrop officiating. Burial will follow in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. For those so desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Paris.
