Sullivan — Kathryn N. Gambill, 93, of Sullivan, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Sullivan. She was born on July 20, 1918, in Sullivan, the daughter of McClellan and Lela (Frakes) Leach. Kathryn was raised by Jesse P. Wilson and Hannah Wilson due to mother’s passing when she was very young.

She was a homemaker, excellent cook and lifelong member of the Sullivan First Baptist Church. Kathryn was very active in her church and loved spending time with her family. She also had a love for flowers and animals especially her cats, Morris and Tiger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eugene Rene Leach; and sister, Mary Francis Conway.

Survivors include four daughters, Lela (Robert) Street of Sullivan, Janis (William Lynch III) Lynch of Ponte Verda Beach, Fla., Gloria Jean Gambill of Danville, Ind., and Kathy Gambill of Sullivan; three grandchildren, Erin Sloan, Heather Dubree, and Mindy Lytle; and seven great-grandchildren, Zachary Sloan, Sydney Sloan, Levi Dubree, Savannah Dubree, Jacob Lytle, Colin Lytle, and Hailey Lytle.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2012, at Center Ridge Cemetery, located in Sullivan, with Terry Norris and Pastor Tim Fleace officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Banks and Brust Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Sullivan First Baptist Church or Noah’s Ark Preschool. Online condolences may be left at:
