Clarice G. Torasso

Clinton — Clarice G. Torasso, age 81, of Angola, Ind., and formerly of Clinton, died at 4:55 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at Delmar Gardens of O’Fallon, Missouri. She was born May 25, 1931, in Hillsdale, Ind., to Herman and Minnie Harper.

She was a telephone operator – Indianapolis, Clinton, Indiana State University.

Survivors include her husband, Victor Torasso, of Angola, whom she married Sept. 27, 1952; daughter, Fran Hile and her husband Dave of St. Louis; son, Victor Torasso and his wife Mary of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jason Torasso, David Hile and Brittany Hile, (Tim Parsons, Brandon Parsons); great-grandchildren, Trent Torasso, Max Torasso (Genevieve Parsons, Gabriel Parsons); and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by all seven of her brothers and sisters.

Clarice raised two children while working along with the help of her husband. She loved entertaining family and friends.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, Giovanini Funeral Home, 408 Vine St., in Clinton, with Pastor Nic Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Helt’s Prairie Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at the funeral home. Special prayer by Jim Ellsberry.
