Dennis Ray Gossett

--- — Dennis Ray Gossett, 69, of Terre Haute, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 13, 2012. He was born on Aug. 31, 1943, in Clinton to Frank and Eva (Martin) Gossett. He married the love of his life, Nancy Montgomery, on Sept. 18, 1965. Dennis graduated from Gerstmeyer High School. He proudly served 36 years in the United States Air Force and the 181st Indiana Air National Guard. After his retirement from the military, Dennis went on to work for the Air National Guard as a maintenance supervisor at Hulman Field. He received the Governor’s High Performance Award. He was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church. Dennis loved to read, watch television, and most of all, spend time with his family.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy; their children, Diana (Gossett) Crowley and her husband John, and Jeff Gossett and his wife Sarah, all of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Jonathon Crowley and his wife Holly, Thomas Crowley and his fiancée Molly Mishler, Tiffany Crowley, Zach Gossett, Mallory Gossett, Zane Gossett, and Stevie Isle and her husband Jimmy, all of Terre Haute; great-grandchildren, Nakota Crowley, Trent Isle, Chloe Isle, and Arie Isle; and additional family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be on Monday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home.  Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home with Pastor Darron Colgan officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park with military rites.
