--- — CLINTON — Nancy Judith Ann Carty Latinovich, 72, of Catlin, Ill. died 7:47 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Ill.

Nancy was born Dec. 30, 1939, in Clinton, Ind. to Murl and Hazel McQueen Carty. She attended Fairview Elementary school, Clinton, Ind. High School and graduated from Indiana State University, Terre Haute in 1961 with a Business Degree. She had taught business at Highland, Ind. High School, St. Joseph-Ogden High School, Danville Junior College, Schlarman High School and Oakwood High School. She opened her business, Kid Konnection in 1985 and retired in 2010. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, Georgetown, Ill. She served as junior director of the 18th. District as well as the 18th. District director of the Illinois Federation of Women’s Club. She was the founder of the Catlin Junior Women’s Club and the Catlin Strawberry Festival. She was member of the Danville Garden Club, the Danville Christian’s Women’s Club and Danville Economic Development. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Nancy married George Latinovich on Aug. 21, 1965, at St. George’s Orthodox Church in Terre Haute, Ind. and he survives. Also surviving are two sons: L. Michael Latinovich and Jon (Leticia) Latinovich, four grandchildren: Andrew Allen, Nadine Maria, Dane Patrick and Aiden George, four sister-in-laws: Rose (Robert) Astley, Smelia Kairns, Claudia Latinovich, and Irene Carty, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, an older sister: Betty Vuckovich and a brother: Larry Dale Carty.

Funeral services are Monday 2 p.m. EDT at Karanovich-Giovanini Funeral Home, 408 Vine St., Clinton, IN 47842 with Pastor Matt Filicsky officiating. Visitation in Clinton, Ind. will be from 11 a.m. 2 p.m. Monday. Visitation in Danville will be Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams, Danville, IL 61832. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Clinton, Ind. Memorials: American Heart Association or American Cancer Society. Guest register:
