Police say employee made McDonald’s bomb threat

SULLIVAN — Police have arrested an employee of the Sullivan McDonald’s whom they believe called in a bomb threat while he was on break Wednesday night.

Tullie R. Evans, 31, Shelburn, was arrested and charged with false reporting, a class-D felony, and taken to the Sullivan County Jail. His bail was set at $8,000, 10 percent allowed.

Indiana State Police, Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department and Sullivan Police Department officers responded about 8:24 p.m. Wednesday to the restaurant in the 700 block of West Wolfe Street.

A search of the eatery revealed no explosive devices and the report was determined to be false.
