Frontier Communications is warning its customers of a possible telemarketing scam.
Frontier customers in the southwestern region of the state, including Terre Haute and Brazil, have reported they have been receiving calls from American Broadband concerning the status of their account with Frontier. The caller may imply that he/she is part of Frontier and urge customers to make changes to their account.
Frontier sells certain services to American Broadband under a wholesale relationship, but is not otherwise associated with the company. Frontier has not authorized contact with Frontier customers, and is not a partner in a telemarketing campaign with American Broadband.
Consumers who receive a call from a company implying that the caller is associated with Frontier Communications should call Frontier’s Customer Conversation Center at 1-800-921-8101.
