TERRE HAUTE —
A man “playing” with a hand gun died early Friday after the gun apparently discharged, said Terre Haute Police John Plasse.
“It looks like it was accidental. [The man] was messing around, playing around with a gun, but unfortunately it went off,” Plasse said. “Witnesses there had similar statements that the man was messing around with the gun and it went off,” Plasse said.
The incident occurred early Friday morning at apartments on Spruce Street just north of Indiana State University’s campus.
Plasse said the person’s identity has not yet been released pending family notification.
