Autopsy finds evidence of suicide in Clay County man

BRAZIL — Suicide has been determined as the cause of death for a Clay County man whose body was found at his home along Indiana 59 south of Brazil on Tuesday night.

Preliminary results of an autopsy conducted Thursday morning indicated the 33-year-old man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Toxicology results are pending and could take up to two weeks, according to the Indiana State Police.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene by Clay County Coroner Joel Reinoehl.
