Movie needs extras for wedding scene

Shoot will be Saturday in Chrisman

CHRISMAN, ILL. — Film producer Candy Beard is hosting a wedding — and the whole Wabash Valley is invited.

The Clinton-based production company, Dreams Come True Films, is planning to shoot a wedding scene Saturday morning for its upcoming movie, “This Promise I Made,” and extras are needed for the scenes.

“We are asking that dress code be formal or semi-formal and that small children and babies be left at home so as not to disturb production, since filming can last a few hours,” Beard stated in a media release.

“We ask that anyone wishing to come, please invite a few friends with you and that you bring a fake gift for props to make the wedding look as realistic as possible. We will select one male and one female from our guests and they will be able to dance with our bride and groom.”

The wedding scenes will be shot Saturday morning at the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, 16362 N. 2300 St., Chrisman, Ill., near St. Bernice. Production will begin at 10:30 a.m. Central Standard Time.

The film is a romantic comedy starring Sara Bakay as “Mackenzie Miller” and actor David Ross as her grandfather. Ken Kercheval, a Clinton native and star of the television series “Dallas,” also appears in the film.
