TERRE HAUTE —
A one-vehicle accident left a woman injured Tuesday night in southern Vigo County.
The woman, who was believed to be alone in the vehicle, suffered unknown injuries after her northbound minivan left U.S. 41 south of Dallas Drive and apparently rolled over before coming to rest in a ditch. The wreck took place at about 8:30 p.m.
The van was upright on its tires in the ditch as emergency responders worked the scene, which was about one mile south of the 641 bypass.
The driver’s name was unknown at Tribune-Star presstime. Police scanner traffic indicated she was taken to Terre Haute Regional Hospital for treatment.
Traffic was blocked by the crash for about 45 minutes in the northbound lanes of U.S. 41.
