TERRE HAUTE —
Tickets for the 99th annual meeting of the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce remain on sale through Thursday.
However, tickets for the public wanting only to attend the speech by Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner will be on sale through Hulman Center Ticketmaster until 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, which is the evening of the event.
The dinner meeting begins at 5:15 p.m. in Hulman Center, with presentations and the program starting at 7 p.m.
Guest speaker Jenner will talk from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m., and that portion of the program is open to the public. In addition to his Olympic title in the decathalon in 1976 and his celebrity athlete status that followed, Jenner has been a mainstay on the reality TV program “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” as the stepfather to the Kardashian siblings.
Tickets for the chamber dinner are $80 per person, or $480 for a table of eight.
Tickets for the Jenner-only speech are $20, and may only be purchased through Ticketmaster at Hulman Center by calling 877-ISU-TIXS from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Public seating for the Jenner speech will be in the lower level seating area of Hulman Center. The floor seating is reserved for Chamber dinner participants. Seating for the public will begin at 7:30 p.m. during a brief intermission in the Chamber program.
Due to the notoriety of this year’s guest speaker, this is the first time the Chamber has sold speaker-only tickets to the event.
