City-wide leaf pickup under way

TERRE HAUTE — Leaf pickup for 2012 started Monday on the south side of Terre Haute. Boundaries for Nov. 5 through Nov. 9 will be:

Davis Avenue to the north, Voorhees Street to the south, U.S. 63 to the west and Indiana 46 in the east.

The city asks that residents rake their leaves to the tree row — not into the street.

The city will be making only one pass through neighborhoods, so residents should have leaves ready for pickup.

During leaf pickup there will be no alley repair or limb pickup.

Residents who bag leaves need either to place them in a blue trash tote or leave them to a blue tote in the regular pickup location.

There is a limit of 10 bags per week during heavy leaf season.
