BRAZIL —
One person died as the result of a traffic accident at the intersection of Indiana 42 and Indiana 59 south of Brazil in Clay County.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Department reports that the accident occurred around 1:15 p.m. Thursday when a sport-utility vehicle collided with a semi-tractor trailer. The SUV became pinned under the trailer, and the driver, Steven Stamberger, 49, of Rochester, died. Stamberger’s wife and other occuments were not hurt.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured accoring to a police report.
