Two more allegations surface against man already accused of touching child

TERRE HAUTE — An East Glenn man accused of inappropriately touching a girl during a church event now faces two more allegations of child molestation.

Gary F. Krackenberger, 59, was arrested Tuesday and appeared in Vigo Superior Court 6 on Wednesday on two class-C felony counts.

According to probable cause affidavits, a 10-year-old child told police that at family events, Krackenberger tickled and fondled her in March.

Another alleged victim told police that she was staying at a relative’s home when Krackenberger allegedly put his hand under her clothes and touched her breasts. That incident occurred sometime between Dec. 30, 2009 and Dec. 30, 2011.

Krackenberger was arrested July 2 following a police investigation of an alleged incident at a church yard sale. He had posted $35,000 cash bond and was facing a Dec. 17 trial date when he was re-arrested following investigation of the two recent allegations.

His bail is now set at $50,000 cash.
