An investigation is under way into the death of a Clark County, Ill., jail inmate.
Shannon Patten, 43, of Tolono, Ill., was found dead when officers conducted a routine cell check of the jail Saturday.
An autopsy is scheduled for today at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
Illinois State Police and the Clark County Coroner’s Office are investigating the death.
