Search on for Gibault walkaway

TERRE HAUTE — The Indiana State Police are seeking help in finding a juvenile who they say walked away from a Vigo County treatment facility Sunday evening.

The ISP, in a news release issued Wednesday, said they need help finding Brittanie Ann Turner Dike, 14, who was last seen walking southwest from the Gibault Children’s Services facility at 6301 S. U.S. 41 in Terre Haute.

She is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall, 127 pounds with blonde hair and blues eyes. Dike was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark gray shirt. She may have been seen in recent days in the Sullivan area.

The ISP and the Dike family are very concerned for her medical well being, as the girl has significant health issues that require medication. Investigators believe Dike does not have those medications with her.

Dike’s father lives in Bloomington, and she has an uncle living in Lawrence County. The Dike family is also searching for her and following leads.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to call Indiana State Police detective Tony Guinn at (765) 653-4114 or, if you believe you have spotted Brittanie, call your local law enforcement agency immediately.
