Vigo County Jail Log: Dec. 12, 2012

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Tuesday and Wednesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Tuesday

Daniel A. Kerns, 28, 3600 block of South Houseman Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:07 a.m. Failure to appear and court order (two counts).

Todd D. Henry, 44, 2900 block of Thompson Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:14 a.m. Battery-domestic.

Moses A. Ip, 23, 500 block of Durant Street, Chapel Hill, N.C. Booked 11:03 a.m. Burglary.

Cody R. Rector, 18, 10 block of East Melissa Way, Terre Haute. Booked 11:05 a.m. Receiving stolen property.

Derek L. Hudgens, 34, 100 block of South 20th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:24 a.m. Failure to appear.

Adam L. Shelton, 35, 7900 block of U.S. 40, Terre Haute. Booked 2:18 p.m. Failure to appear.

Larry L. Barbour, 20, 12300 block of South Indiana 71, Clinton. Booked 2:25 p.m. Failure to appear.

Scott J. Schoffstall, 49, 6200 block of North Crow Street, Brazil. Booked 3:05 p.m. Criminal conversion.

Jordan M. Allen, 22, 2600 block of North Woodvale Street, Terre Haute. Booked 7:49 p.m. Public intoxication and criminal recklessness.

Melissa L. Gress, 36, 1000 block of Windsor Street, Terre Haute. Booked 8:22 p.m. Failure to appear.

Adrian T. Chalos, 44, 1300 block of Winterberry Court, Terre Haute. Booked 9:42 p.m. Probation violation.

Elaine M. McVay, 50, 1500 block of South Center Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:48 p.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Gary J. Morris Jr., 18, 500 block of Fourth Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 11:44 p.m. Criminal conversion and failure to appear.

Wednesday

James W. Wilson, 47, 600 block of West National Avenue, West Terre Haute. Booked 1:07 a.m. Operating while intoxicated and driving while suspended.

Sergio L. Diaz, 23, 1400 block of South Eighth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 2:36 a.m. Driver never licensed.

Rafael Martinez, 38. Martinez refused to provide address, according to authorities. Booked 3:12 a.m. False reporting/informing and court order.

Evan Burrell, 23, 10300 block of Pike Street, Crown Point. Booked 3:28 a.m. Failure to appear.

 

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
