Christmas CD offers glimpse of what Maryland Church is about

TERRE HAUTE — Invitations to attend worship services during the Christmas season are common.

Maryland Community Church has put a unique spin on such invitations this year. The church south of Terre Haute on Indiana 46 is giving away a two-song Christmas music CD, accompanied by a personal audio invitation to listeners to attend Christmas Eve services. The songs were recorded by the church’s worship band.

Free copies of the CDs will be distributed at this Sunday’s regular services at Maryland — at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. — and are also available online at www.mccth.org/christmas2012.

People attending this Sunday’s services will be encouraged to share the CDs around the community.

“We thought it would be awesome to have a Christmas album that we could hand out to our friends for free that showed what God is doing at Maryland Church and invited them to come and join us for Christmas Eve service,” said Justin Hoeppner, the MCC worship pastor.

Maryland will conduct two Christmas Eve services, at 6 and 8 p.m. Dec. 24.
