TERRE HAUTE —
Downtown Terre Haute Inc. has launched a new web portal, www.choosedowntown.com, designed to connect visitors and shoppers with downtown merchants, events and services. The website also incorporates a recently developed branding strategy for the downtown district. A new branding logo is being promoted through online content, billboards and print material.
“This project represents a commitment by DTH to be merchant-focused and value-driven in all that we do to support the ongoing redevelopment downtown,” said Chris Pfaff, the group’s president.
That promotion strategy also will be part of the project’s next phase, which is to integrate the brand into new map kiosks and signage in key locations downtown. The web portal was developed through a partnership with Indiana State University, Mediaworks Advertising and Downtown Terre Haute Inc.’s economic restructuring team.
Nine downtown Terre Haute restaurants also have come together to create a dining discount card. The cards are being sold for $10 each and can be used through January 2013. Several groups are participating in the card sales, and 100 percent of the purchase price will go to the participating organization.
Organizations participating in the downtown dining discount card include: ISU Residence Hall Association, New Covenant Fellowship Church, Youth for Christ, Humane Society, Bible Baptist Academy, United Campus Ministries, CODA, Celebration Spiritual Center, Maple Center, Ryves Hall Youth Center, Wabash Valley Pride, ISU Staff Council, DTH Inc. and Phi Delta Theta.
Cards also will be available for purchase online at the www.choosedowntown.com website.
