Summary
This individual is responsible for the management of the city infrastructure and related information resources.
Position Responsibilities
(include but are not limited to)
• Maintain and plans the department budget.
• Direct supervisor of the Assistant City Engineer and indirectly; GIS Manager, Urban Forester, CAD Tech, Roadway Manager and Inter(s).
• Oversees development, implementation and management of a geographic information system.
• Oversees development, implementation and management of a roadway infrastructure management program.
• Oversees development of a preventative maintenance program for all city-owned buildings.
• Coordination of activities between public works departments.
• Oversees development and implementation of an urban forestry master plan.
• Oversight of a street tree maintenance program.
• Review of all site plans before permit issuance and inspection of site before completion and occupancy.
• Development and coordination of neighborhood associations.
• Oversight of all downtown and neighborhood enhancement projects.
• Technical assistance to the Parks Department on capital projects.
• Supervision of all departmental staff not assigned to another supervisor.
• Management of information resources and all related public interface.
