BRAZIL —
A traffic stop in Brazil resulted in three arrests early Tuesday.
Patrolman Elliott Mullinix reported that he conducted a traffic stop on a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer at 12:32 a.m in the area of Washington and Church streets. The driver identified himself as Paul Gallaway, but had no identification. Two passengers were identified as Mackenzie Watson and Kali Rugenstein.
A K9 officer was called to the scene to assist with the stop, and police located 37.3 grams of crystal methamphetamine as well as syringes and drug paraphernalia.
Police found that driver had given a false name, and was identified as Justin Burnham. He was arrested for false informing and was found to have a parole warrant through the Indiana Department of Correction. He was also arrested for dealing methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and driving while suspended.
Watson and Rugenstein were arrested for visiting a common nuisance.
All three were booked into the Clay County Jail.
