TERRE HAUTE —
A Clay County man was jailed over the weekend on allegations he committed several burglaries in the Parke County village of Mansfield.
The Parke County Sheriff’s Department reported Monday that Kevin R. Walker, 35, of Carbon, was arrested Saturday in connection with several burglaries at Mansfield businesses, including one that happened the morning of his arrest.
Walker is facing three counts of burglary and was being held in the Parke County Jail on a $50,000 bond with no 10 percent allowed.
Property from the burglaries has been recovered and an investigation is continuing, police reported.
The village of Mansfield is in southeastern Parke County on Indiana 59 just north of the Clay County line.
