TERRE HAUTE —
Teachers who would like to learn more about the field trip programs at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum are invited to a special Teacher Preview Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday. Museum staff will be on hand to share information about scheduling field trips, ordering lunches from Louise’s Downtown Cafe, scheduling special hands-on programs and activities, guidelines for chaperones and more.
The day is not designed for child exploration. There is no charge for the Teacher Preview Day.
In addition to the Teacher Preview Day, the Museum will conduct a Science Teacher Workshop from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday. The workshop is designed for upper elementary school teachers (grades 3-5) who are excited to learn science experiments and demonstrations to do in the classroom. The workshop will be led by licensed science teacher, Teresa Cribelar, and at the end of the workshop, teachers will receive a manual of the experiments taught during the workshop as well as a classroom set for one of the activities.
Pre-registration is required for the workshop, and the cost is $40 per person. The registration form is available at www.thchildrensmuseum.c
