Prep roundup: North boys tennis beats Silver Creek

BLOOMINGTON — Terre Haute North’s boys tennis team swept perennial Southern Indiana power Silver Creek 5-0 in a match played at Bloomington South High School.

The Patriots swept all five matches. North’s No. 1 doubles team of Alex Farmer and Sam Wolf won in straight sets.

North improved to 4-2 and will play host to the North Invitational on Saturday



Singles — Tate Egan (THN) def. Jake Steele 6-1, 6-0; Ethan Caldwell (THN) def. Brennan Thompson 6-2, 6-3; Andrew Farmer (THN) def. Andrew Eckerd 6-4, 6-1.

Doubles — Alex Farmer-Sam Wolf (THN) def. Isaac Coinn-Nick Sprinkle 6-0, 6-0; Keaton Akers-Justin Newton (THN) def. Gabe Bauer-Jarrett French 6-0, 6-1.

JV — North won 4-0.
