Terre Haute North’s boys and girls bowling teams will be competing in today’s Indiana High School Bowling regional at Jasper.
Both North teams won the sectional at Imperial Lanes last Saturday. Brittany Wence, a North girls bowler, was the girls individual sectional champion and will also bowl in that regional event at Jasper today.
Also competing in the regional is the South Vermillion boys team.
North boys team members are Anthony Guenzel, C.J. Brooks, Dylan Wilson, Landry Kaufman, Tanner Tuberosa, Tyler Tuberosa, Tyler Lawrence and Vincent Price.
North girls team members are Allison Drake, Wence, Caitlyn Bruce, Brooke Lynch, Leah Zebrowski, Lani Troxel and Taylor Hartman.
Coach of both North teams is Jerry Wence.
Soccer
• Sycamores sign 12 — Coach Erika True of Indiana State has announced the signing of 12 incoming freshmen — including Molly McKee of Terre Haute North — with the Sycamore program.
“Our coaching staff is so excited to finally be able to welcome our 2012 soccer class to the Sycamore family,” True said. “We started recruiting these girls almost two years ago and as we continue to see each of them grow and improve it makes it that much more exciting to have them join our team.
“This class brings in a ton of talent. It could quite possibility be the greatest recruiting class ever join the Indiana State soccer program,” said True.
The ISU newcomers are Mackenzie Hamilton of Lebanon, Ohio (Fenwick High School); Katelyn Huh of Loveland, Ohio (Kings); Kate Johnson of Valparaiso; Sydney Loesing of Cincinnati (Anderson); Sydney Lovelace of Franklin, Ohio; Molly McKee of Terre Haute (North); Erin Mitchell of Overland Park, Kan. (Blue Valley West); Selby Smith of Lebanon, Ohio (Fenwick); Holly Sparks of Fairfield, Ohio; Elle Steele of Indianapolis (University); Kylie Sumner of Batavia, Ohio (Clermont NE); and Kelsie Zawada of LaPorte.
