• ISU completes roster — Second-year Indiana State head volleyball coach Traci Dahl has completed her roster for the 2009 season with the announcement that Aralena Haynes has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Sycamores starting this fall.
“Aralena will bring some great experience to our team this year,” Dahl said. “She is a very athletic player and her competitiveness will be contagious.”
Haynes, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter from Douglasville, Ga., played four years at Lithia Springs High School where she holds the school record for all-time kills (520) and all-time kill percentage (.530). A two-time Douglas County Player of the Year, Haynes was twice named the team’s Most Valuable Player and twice named to the AAAA Regional first team.
