Call a Cab

TERRE HAUTE — A Terre Haute law firm is once again offering free taxi rides to people who have had too much to drink in local bars.

On Wednesday, the night before Thanksgiving, the Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin firm is continuing its Safe and Sober program, which it sponsors several times a year on nights thought to involve heavy drinking.

The program will be available in the Terre Haute area from 8 p.m. on Wednesday to 3 a.m. on Thursday. To request a free cab ride home, call Yellow Cab of Terre Haute at 812-478-5000 and tell them Fleschner Law is paying for your safe ride home. Such calls need to be made at least 30 minutes before desired pick up.

Cab rides are provided from a bar or restaurant to an individual’s residence, not to other drinking locations. Rides cannot be guaranteed for everyone who calls; however, every attempt will be made to accommodate all requests. Cab drivers have the right to use their discretion when accepting fares, the law firm said.
