TERRE HAUTE —
Vigo County Board of Commissioners on Monday approved zoning changes establishing five mining overlays on property located at 2915 E. Dallas Drive, 3255 E. Dallas Drive, 12525 S. Singhurst St., 5860 E. Cottom Drive and on the west side of Indiana 63 in the 15500 block.
The overlays, under a county zoning requirement, include development standards on vapor and odor control, visual impacts and security. Riverside Exploration LLC of Traverse City, Mich., was listed as the developer of the potential oil and gas operations.
The overlays had previously received a 10-1 favorable vote from the Vigo County Plan Commission.
