TERRE HAUTE —
Authorities cautioned the public of an escaped Hamilton Center patient believed to be dangerous.
Shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday evening, police were notified that Zacherey Brown, 20, had walked away from the Hamilton Center facilities. Personnel at the Terre Haute Police Department confirmed that Brown suffers from hallucinatory episodes and believes himself to be “Satan.” He was reportedly in possession of a loaded weapon at the time of his admission into the Hamilton Center.
According to dispatchers broadcasting over police scanners, police were warned that Brown had threatened to harm people as he left the facility.
Brown is a white male, approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 190 pounds. Individuals with information about his whereabouts are asked to call 911 and avoid contact.
