Children's Museum Science Store to donate 10 percent of Dec. 3 sales to United Way

TERRE HAUTE — On Dec. 3, the Old National Bank Science Store in the Terre Haute Children’s Museum wants people to Shop United. The Science Store will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 10 percent of sales that day will be donated to the United Way of the Wabash Valley.

“On Mondays, the Museum is typically closed, but we are opening up the Science Store from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 3 to give people a chance to do some kid-free holiday shopping while also supporting the United Way,” said Jamie McDowell, Director of Membership and Guest Services.

The Old National Bank Science Store in the Terre Haute Children’s Museum is an official retailer for Melissa & Doug, Knex, Aurora, and Zoob. The Science Store carries a variety of unique gift items for both boys and girls, including dinosaurs, building kits, costumes, animals, trains, books and science experiments.

“We are an independent local retailer and 100 percent of our profits support the exhibits and programs of the Museum,” McDowell said.

The Old National Bank Science Store is located in the Terre Haute Children’s Museum at the corner of Eighth Street and Wabash Avenue. For more information about the Science Store, call 812-235-5548 or email info@terrehautechildrensmuseum.com.

Several other Terre Haute and Sullivan merchants will also be donating 10 percent of sales to United Way. To see a list of participating merchants, visit www.thchildrensmuseum.com.
