Testimony continues in Parke murder trial

TERRE HAUTE — Testimony of a registered nurse who cared for a victim allegedly raped by Jeremy Musall last August began this morning’s activity in the Parke County murder trial of the 28-year-old Cloverdale man.

Jenni Pohlar reviewed records she made on the day she saw the victim at Putnam County Hospital, stating that the victim presented information that she was assaulted and raped in her Parke County home during the overnight attack in which her live-in boyfriend was killed.

The victim ended up in Putnam County after Musall allegedly took the woman’s toddler child and drove from the Rocky Fork Lake area with the body of Joseph Snow in the back of his car. The victim followed Musall in her own vehicle, and called 911 to alert police about the incident and the alleged kidnapping of her daughter.

Musall has been charged with two counts of felony murder, as well as two counts of burglary resulting in bodily injury, rape and kidnapping, all class-A felonies, stemming from the homicide of Snow at Rocky Fork Lake in southeastern Parke County.

His trial began Monday in Parke Circuit Court and is expected to continue through Friday. Seven witnesses on the prosecution’s witness list remain to be called to testify.

The defense team has listed seven witnesses to testify, including Musall.
