TERRE HAUTE —
A Shelburn man has been arrested for child molesting after an alleged victim reported an incident due to hearing about “good touch, bad touch” during a recent police educational program for children.
Anthony Evinger, 21, appeared in Vigo Superior Court 1 on Wednesday where Senior Judge Michael Eldred set a Sept. 17 hearing in the case.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the victim was 9 years old when Evinger allegedly reached his hand into her pants while they were visiting at a relative’s home in West Terre Haute. The touching occurred on more than one occasion between April 1, 2011 and June 1, 2011.
Evinger is being held in the Vigo County Jail with bail set at $50,000 cash only on the class-C felony charge of child molestation.
