NEW: Another Winter Storm Watch issued for Wabash Valley

TERRE HAUTE — The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Wabash Valley in effect from late Monday night through late Tuesday night with up to 7 inches of snow possible.

A strong area of low pressure is expected to push toward central Indiana on Monday night and pass across central Indiana on Tuesday through Tuesday night. As the lo approaches Monday night snow may develop and then continue through Tuesday and Tuesday night. Three (3) to seven (7) inches appears possible at this time.

Blowing and drifting snow once again will be a concern Tuesday night and Wednesday as strong wind gusts near 35 mph.

There still remains a great deal of uncertainty with timing and specific snowfall amounts.

Impact

• Roads and surfaces may become snow covered and slick Monday night and Tuesday. Blowing and drifting snow will be possible Tuesday night and Wednesday.

• Snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches are possible.

• Snow is expected to begin late Monday night and continue through Tuesday. Conditions will gradually improve by late Wednesday afternoon as winds decrease.
