Groups need senior transportation info

TERRE HAUTE — There is a need in Vigo and surrounding counties for transportation services for medical purposes to Indianapolis, and there is a need for door-to-door evening transportation for seniors.

Area 7 Agency on Aging and Disabled, The WILL Center, Wabash Senior Activity Center and Senior Education Ministries, Inc. are partnering to provide an information session and luncheon to get input from seniors and organization professionals about this need for transportation.

Information gathered from this event will support an application for the “Better Together” grant being given by the Wabash Valley Community Foundation.

This event will take place Monday in the Vigo County Public Library in Terre Haute in meeting rooms A and C at 10:30 a.m. A free lunch will be provided.  Advance reservation is required. RSVP by calling Patty Cannoy at (812) 238-1561 ext. 242 or toll free at 1-800-489-1561 ext. 242; RSVP can also be made by emailing her: pcannoy@westcentralin.com.
