TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Thursday and Friday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Thursday

Derice S. Hammond Jr., 18, 2200 block of Leaf Drive, Indianapolis, booked 7:01 a.m. Aggravated battery.

Caleb Strassler, 18, 3400 block of East Carol Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 7:06 a.m. Forgery.

Tanner W. Travioli, 22, 5200 block of North 14th Street, Terre Haute, booked 12:08 p.m. Failure to appear and criminal conversion.

Kenneth Tesch, 58, 2500 block of Woodcrest Drive, Chaska, Minn., booked 2:55 p.m. Court order.

Bruce Davis, 58, 400 block of Fifth Avenue, Dyersville, Iowa, booked 3:01 p.m. Court order.

Dennis L. Jorgenson, 55, 600 block of Linden Street, Terre Haute, booked 3:50 p.m. Failure to appear and criminal mischief.

Michael A. Newburn, 22, 300 block of South Seventh Street, West Terre Haute, booked 3:58 p.m. Bond revocation.

William C. Hanna, 35, 10 block of Gilbert Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 5:07 p.m. Failure to appear and driver never licensed.

Mark S. Reed II, 35, 1500 block of South Eighth Street, Terre Haute, booked 5:18 p.m. Failure to appear.

Albert F. Perry Jr., 48, 1600 block of South Fourth Street, Terre Haute, booked 7:21 p.m. Failure to appear and possession of controlled substance.

Selmau A. Lopez, 23, 1500 block of South 12th Street, Terre Haute, booked 8:28 p.m. False reporting.

Thomas W. Floyd, 47, no address, Terre Haute, booked 11:08 p.m. Habitual traffic violator.

Friday

Bonnie Porter, 38, 200 block of West Lee Avenue, West Terre Haute, booked 1:29 a.m.  Possession of marijuana.

Seth M. Gerdink, 21, 1200 block of Lafayette Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 1:36 a.m. Failure to appear.

Brandon C. Blackburn, 20, 2400 block of North 17th Street, Terre Haute, booked 2:08 a.m. Minor consuming, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement.

Caleb Taylor, 23, 1900 block of South 17th Street, Terre Haute, booked 2:44 a.m. Driving while intoxicated.

Amanda J. Kelley, 25, 1200 block of North Ninth Street, Terre Haute, booked 3:35 a.m. Driving while intoxicated and failure to appear.

Melanie Purkhiser, 26, 6600 block of West Happy Holler Road, Brazil, booked 3:39 a.m. Driving while intoxicated.

Aaron Wade Umberger, 24, 600 block of South Fifth Street, Terre Haute, booked 4:01 a.m. Driving while intoxicated.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
