Vigo County Jail Log: Sept. 24, 2012

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Friday

Geoffrey W. Cheek, 26, 2000 block of South Sixth Street, Terre Haute, booked 6:13 a.m. Court order.

Darin M. Wilson, 29, 500 block of South 21st, Terre Haute, booked 11:14 a.m. Receiving stolen property and possession of paraphernalia.  

Daniel J. McFarland, 39, 1000 block of East Lords Way, Brazil, booked 12:18 p.m. Failure to appear.

Michelle E. Medley, 26, 2300 block of First Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 12:36 p.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

Andrew I. Hogue, 22, 1400 Elm Street, Terre Haute, booked 1:28 p.m. Forgery, probation violation, and failure to appear.

Maurice K. Shelton, 30, 2300 block of North Spruce, Terre Haute, booked 2:11 p.m. Intimidation.

Steven B. Coffman, 44, 3300 block of West County Road 300 South, Cory, booked 3:53 p.m. Receiving stolen property.

Dawn M. Wallace, 34, 400 block of Oak Street, Terre Haute, booked 3:53 p.m. Bond revocation.

Justin L. Charlton, 18, 100 block of West Miller, West Terre Haute, booked 5:08 p.m. Burglary and harassment.

Shane Dean, 24, 200 block of North Chicago, Brazil, booked 5:22 p.m. False reporting/informing, bond revocation, and probation violation.  

James C. Lalen, 32, 400 block of South Lambert, Brazil, booked 5:53 p.m. Failure to appear.

 Jeffrey L. Whitsit, 19, 1500 block of Woodley Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 6:31 p.m. Court order.

William R. Griffin, 26, 1600 block of Garfield, Terre Haute, booked 6:33 p.m.                       Bond revocation.

James McNew, 45, address unknown, booked 6:55 p.m. Court order.  

David J. Childress, 21, 9700 block North Harmony Border Street, Brazil, booked 7:59 p.m. Criminal Conversion

Robert G. King, 59, 2400 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, booked 11:49 p.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Saturday

Xavier J. Williams, 18, 1800 block East 42nd Street, Indianapolis, booked 12:24 a.m.                            Minor consuming and public intoxication.

Richard Walls, 40, 2000 block Blue Creek, Brookville, booked 12:32 a.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Isaac J. Bahney, 18, 800 block South 7th Street, Terre Haute, booked 12:50 a.m.  Minor consuming.   

Benjamen Denker, 18, 800 block of  South 7th Street, Terre Haute, booked 1:03 a.m.        Minor consuming.

Mary E. Study, 21, 12100 block Bulltown Road, Laurel, booked 2:23 a.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Tyler J. Gambill, 41, 900 block Lafayette Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 2:30 a.m.  Failure to appear.               

Jeremy L. Pratt, 22,  3700 block West 900 North, Carthage, booked 4:02 a.m. Operating while intoxicated and leaving scene.

Mary J. Trout, 31, 1600 block North 13th Street, Terre Haute, booked 8:16 p.m.  Failure to appear.

 Michael A. Ornduff, 38, 2500 block Hasselburger Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 10:24 p.m. Public intoxication.

Leo T. Williams, 50, 2400 block Liberty Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 11:26 p.m. Possession marijuana/hash and operating while intoxicated.

Sunday

Danielle R. Sanders, 39, 1300 block Chestnut Street, Terre Haute, booked 12:23 a.m. Failure to appear

James J. Fox, 32, 1700 block West County Road 300 North, Brazil, booked 2:52 a.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Jerad Long, 28, 1900 block South 18th Street, Terre Haute, booked 3:17 a.m.    Operating while intoxicated.

Chad R. Deal, 30, 100 block North Cass Washington Street, Sullivan, booked 4:16 a.m. Operating while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement.

James E. Overpeck, 53, 3000 block North 15th Street, Terre Haute, booked 4:21 a.m. Operating while intoxicated.                         

Emily L. Grimm, 19, 700 block of South 19th Street, Terre Haute, booked, 2:36 p.m.                      Operating while intoxicated, minor consuming, and leaving scene.

Jonathan M. Edwards, 26, 300 block West Wheeler Avenue, booked 7:59 p.m.  Battery.

Darwin F. Laswell, 50, 7900 block South SR 59, Carbon, booked 9:03 p.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Michael E. Holdridge, 46, 200 block Maple Street, Baraga, Mich., booked 9:40 p.m. Operating while intoxicated, habitual traffic violation, and false reporting (2 counts).

Monday

Franklin D. Boatman, 50, 700 block Bolton Road, West Terre Haute, booked 12:20 a.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Stephen E. Hartwell, 19, 8500 block North Breeding Road, Dupont, booked 1:12 a.m. Minor consuming and failure to appear.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
