TERRE HAUTE —
Java Haute is hosting the latest fundraiser sponsored by SPPRAK — Special People Performing Random Acts of Kindness.
All proceeds from the event, dubbed “Coffee, Caps and Shades,” will benefit the Terre Haute Humane Society.
The fundraiser is scheduled for 6-9 p.m. Feb. 17 at Java Haute, 3805 Wabash Ave., Terre Haute.
People can grab their friends, don caps and sunglasses and head to the eastside coffee house, where Heng Photography will take photos at a cost of $10 each.
The photos will be on display from Feb. 26 to March 10 at Java Haute. People can vote for their favorite photo, $1 per vote, with that money also going to the Humane Society. The top three votegetters will receive an 8-by-10 photograph and a trophy for bragging rights.
