TERRE HAUTE —
More arrests are expected from a string of burglaries in Parke, Clay and Vigo counties.
On Saturday, Parke County authorities arrested Kevin R. Walker, 35, of Carbon. He is facing burglary charges in connection with break-ins in the town of Mansfield, including one that took place Saturday morning.
On Tuesday, the Parke County Sheriff’s Department said searches of two residences in Parke County resulted in the recovery of more stolen property and other evidence.
The rash of burglaries includes 13 in Parke County, three in Clay County and one in Vigo County. At least two new suspects have been identified and more charges could be added to those against Walker, police said.
The string of burglaries has targeted businesses, churches, schools and an ATM machine, police said.
