TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Tuesday and Wednesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Tuesday

Justin Racey, 21, 3100 block of North 22nd Street, Terre Haute. Booked 1:45 p.m. Battery.

Robert C. Allard, 31, 600 block of Oak Street, Terre Haute. Booked 2:39 p.m. Failure to appear.

Todd E. Couch, 41, 1700 block of Ash Street, Terre Haute. Booked 3:16 p.m. Probation violation.

Shane L. Kimsey, 22, 2500 block of North 15 1/2 Street, Terre Haute. Booked 4:55 p.m. Battery-domestic.

Dale L. Pittman, 48, 1300 block of First Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 6:22 p.m. Failure to appear.

Wayne R. Compton, 25, 2300 block of South Center Street, Terre Haute. Booked 6:58 p.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

Stephen E. Orourke, 45, 900 block of West Allison Drive, West Terre Haute. Booked 8:57 p.m. Failure to appear.

Jamie L. Henderson, 29, 2600 block of Fenwood Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 9:23 p.m. Habitual traffic violator.

Jason A. Essex, 25, 200 block of South Ninth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:19 p.m. Criminal conversion and possession of marijuana/hash.

Faith L. Phillips, 38, 2200 block of South 19th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:35 p.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Joshua A. Snodgrass, 20, 2400 block of Chase Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:59 p.m. Minor consuming.

Wednesday

Maurice L. Martin, 34, 2200 block of First Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 3:04 a.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

Benjamin W. Evans, 21, 200 block of South 25th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 4:24 a.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
