Vigo County —
A Greene County man remained in the Vigo County jail after allegedly knocking a woman unconscious two different times on Monday.
The Vigo County Sheriff’s Department stated Cody Julian, 22, is accused of striking a woman in the face, knocking her to the ground and leaving her unconscious. When she regained consciousness, he allegedly struck her again, causing her to lose consciousness a second time.
The victim, who was at her apartment at the time of the alleged incident, was then taken to Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was questioned there by police and was later transported by helicopter ambulance to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was released from the hospital Tuesday, a Methodist spokesman said.
Julian was arrested on Tuesday at his grandmother’s home in Jasonville where he had reportedly been living. He remains in Vigo County Jail on a $60,000 bond with no 10 percent allowed.
