TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Tuesday

Michael Meehan, 32, 4400 block of South Ninth Street, Terre Haute, booked 9:14 a.m. Motor vehicle theft.

Minor, 16, 2300 block of Chase, Terre Haute, booked 10:47 a.m. Runaway.

Ethan A. Carpenter, 20, 1500 block of Woodley Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 11:07 a.m. Failure to appear.

 Jennifer R. Carter, 26, 1500 block of Wilson Street, Terre Haute, booked 1:18 p.m. Leaving scene-property damage and driving while suspended.  

Minor, 17, under the 100th block of Melissa Way, Terre Haute, booked 1:45 p.m. Battery

Debra L. Edington, 44, 7900 block of N. Holdaway Place, West Terre Haute, booked 4:03 p.m. Probation violation.

James J. Ready, 32, 1600 block of Seventh Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 4:51 p.m. Failure to appear.

Brian K. Alexander, 32, 3000 block of South First, Terre Haute, booked 4:56 p.m. Failure to appear.

Minor, 17, 1000 block of North Eight Street, Terre Haute, booked 5:30 p.m. Criminal conversion.

Minor, 14, 7100 block of N Private Road 90 East, Shelburn, booked 5:30 p.m. Criminal conversion.

Minor, 14, 3600 block E. Rosehill Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 6:40 p.m. Runaway.

Donald E. Francis, 24, 1400 block of Tippicanoe, Terre Haute, booked 7:48 p.m. Battery.

Ramant T. Cooper, 40, 100 block of South 12th Street, Terre Haute, booked 8:33 p.m. Battery-domestic.

Ashley J. Dunn, 26, 500 block of Fourth Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 8:46 p.m. Battery-domestic.

Katie L. Nash, 23, 2400 block of South 11th Street, Terre Haute, booked 9:31 p.m. Probation violation.

Wednesday

 Ronald L. Harmless, 68, 3400 block of North Shuler Street, Terre Haute, booked 1:06 a.m. Battery-domestic.

 Kehrt Cochran, 23, 2900 block of South Brown Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 1:30 a.m. Operating while intoxicated and driving while suspended.

Kenneth L. Foye, 33, under the 100th block of South 16th Street, Terre Haute, booked 2:18 a.m.  Violation of no contact order.

Christopher G. Bays, 26, 300 block of West Johnson Avenue, Sullivan, booked 3:12 a.m. Probation violation, possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.  

Casandra Dean, 19, 500 block of West Lee Avenue, West Terre Haute, booked 3:38 a.m. Maintaing a common nuisance.

Misty M. Padgett, 22, 300 block of South Third Street, West Terre Haute, booke 7:28 a.m. Bond revocation.

Jason A. Essex, 24, 400 block of West Miller, West Terre Haute, booked 8:08 a.m. Neglect of a dependant and disorderly conduct.

Erick S. Schmitt, 33, 6900 block of South Old U.S. Hwy 41, Carlisle, booked 10:47 a.m. Court order and invalid charge.

Clifford C. Marshall, 42, 300 block of West National Avenue, West Terre Haute, booked 11:37 a.m. Failure to appear.

Tammy T. Williams, 40, 1500 block of Chase Street, Terre Haute, booked 12:58 p.m. Failure to appear.

Ronald W. Beck II, 29, 4700 block of Darwin, Terre Haute, booked 4:53 p.m. Criminal trespass.

Lisa M. Montgomery, 52, 1400 block of South Hulman Street, Terre Haute, booked 7:58 p.m. Operating while intoxicated, driving while suspended and false reporting.

Nicholas L. Ehlers, 25, 1900 block of Cobbleston Way North, Terre Haute, booked 8:37 p.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Brittany D. King, 23, 1300 block of North Ninth Street, Terre Haute, booked 10:16 p.m. Possession controlled substance, probation violation and failure to appear.

Jennica J. Mccabe, 20, 700 block of East Sixth Street, Terre Haute, booked 11:22 p.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Thursday

Esther L. Pennington, 27, 200 block of South Wedgewood, Carbondale, Ill., booked 2:36 a.m. Battery, criminal mischief and possession controlled substance.

Marshall R. Riker, 28, 400 block of South 15th, Terre Haute, booked 3:26 a.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

Arnold Filewood, 45, no address given,  booked 4:07 a.m. False reporting/informing and sex offender resident.

Theopolis Batson, 28, 1100 block of North Sixth Street, Terre Haute, booked 4:49 a.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
