TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Wednesday and Thursday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Wednesday

Robert C. Hoopengarner, 50, 3400 block of East Woodsmall Drive, Terre Haute, booked 9:42 a.m. Failure to appear.

Christopher A. Mcelroy, 29, 1300 block of Fourh Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 12:14 a.m.  Probation violation (two counts).

David Dunbar, 21, 1000 block of East County Road 550 South, Clay City, booked 1:13 p.m. Criminal trespass.

John J. Lydick, 40, 1400 block of South Sixth Street, Terre Haute, booked 2:03 p.m. Court order.

Angela Fields, 33, 3700 block of West State Road 46, Cory, booked 2:17 p.m. Contempt of court.

Isaiah O. Batson, 29, 2100 block of Tippecanoe, Terre Haute, booked 6:20 p.m. Possession of marijuana/hash.

David S. Melvin, 43, 1400 block of Woodley Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 6:30 p.m. Criminal recklessness.

Anthony C. Varda, 27, 1700 block of River Birch Court, Terre Haute, booked 6:38 p.m. Bond revocation.

Stephanie L. Davidson, 24, 1600 block of Fifth Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 6:45 p.m. Failure to appear and operating while intoxicated.  

Mark E. Foster, 42, 200 block of South Staunton Perry, Brazil, booked 7:03 p.m. Invasion of privacy and possession of marijuana.

Tony Porter, 39, 300 block of Center Street, Sardis, Miss., booked 7:15 p.m. Arson, theft, probation violation and failure to appear.    

James A. Walters, 49, 700 block of South Seventh, Terre Haute, booked 7:38 p.m. Intimidation and false reporting.

Hanna M. Hankins, 24, 1800 block of North 13th Street, Terre Haute, booked 9:37 p.m. Failure to appear.

Chris E. Mccormick, 26, 1100 block of Harrison Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 11:39 p.m.  Operating while intoxicated.

Thursday

Gail L. Emgee, 56, 400 block of Washington Street, Terre Haute, booked 1:06 a.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Mbudi N. Maloba, 32, 5400 block of North James Street, Terre Haute, booked 1:28 a.m.  Operating while intoxicated.

Christopher Burt, 19, 600 block of East Greenwood Street, Terre Haute, booked 1:42 a.m. Criminal mischief.

Shaneta A. Moothery, 20, 1600 block of 16th Street,  Terre Haute, booked 2:08 a.m. Failure to appear (two counts) and minor consuming alcohol.

Bradley W. Fox, 23, 2400 block of Dillman Street, Terre Haute, booked 2:37 a.m. Disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Christopher M. Bouchie, 26, under the 100th block of Douglas Place, Terre Haute, booked 3:19 a.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Shawna L. Cunning, 23, 1200 block of South 19th, Terre Haute, booked 5:01 a.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

 Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
