Vigo County Jail Log: Feb. 28, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Tuesday and Wednesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.



Tuesday

• James N. Smith, 27, 2100 block of Third Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 8:27 a.m. Battery-domestic.

• Falisha A. Brenton, 34, 6300 block of Walton Street, Indianapolis. Booked 2:22 p.m. Contempt of court.

• David A. Higginbotham, 20, 9400 block of North Baldwin Street, Terre Haute. Booked 4:42 p.m. Battery-domestic.

• Kyle A. Carroll, 27, 2000 block of North 26th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 6:36 p.m. Dealing marijuana/hash.

• Derek L. Carroll, 24, 10 block of North Pear Tree Lane, Terre Haute. Booked 6:38 p.m. Resisting law enforcement.

• Robert Dwayne Cox III, 26, 2100 block of Locust Street, Terre Haute. Booked 7 p.m. Public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

• Kalynn G. Douglas, 18, 400 block of Third Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 7:18 p.m. Neglect of a dependant.

• Jason D. McDonald, 19, 1600 block of Parkville Drive, Wichita Falls, Texas. Booked 7:44 p.m. Possession of methamphetamine.

• Dustin H. Baker, 26, 5300 block of South Graves Road, Brazil. Booked 8:31 p.m. Criminal conversion.

• Chad R. Crewes, 22, 6400 block of South U.S. 41, Terre Haute. Booked 9 p.m. Probation violation.

• Robert G. Held, 32, 1100 block of North Ninth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:34 p.m. Residential entry and theft.

• Gary S. Dugard, 32, 300 block of Jane Yokley Road, Tompkinsville, Ky. Booked 11:26 p.m. Motor vehicle theft and receiving stolen property.

• Taylor M. Fritschle, 22, 400 block of South East 11th Street, Washington. Booked 11:35 p.m. Failure to appear.



Wednesday

• Scott L. Hawk, 41, 2900 block of North 17th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 12:35 a.m. Habitual traffic violator, operating while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement.

• Michael O. Branch, 47, 10 block of North 23rd Street, Terre Haute. Booked 12:42 a.m. Possession of cocaine/narcotics and resisting law enforcement.



Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
