Vigo County Health Dept. H1N1 Vaccine update

TERRE HAUTE — The Vigo County Health Department will conduct several H1N1 clinics for children 6 months to 18 years of age on the following dates:

• 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday;

• 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday;

• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The H1N1 clinics will be conducted in the County Council chambers of the Vigo County Annex at South First and Oak streets.

Both the H1N1 nasal mist and H1N1 injectable (the shot) will be available free of charge. However, the nasal mist will be administered to anyone 3 to 18 years old unless a parent/legal guardian can provide written documentation from his or her physician stating why the child should not receive the nasal mist. A parent or legal guardian must accompany the child to the clinic so the child can receive the H1N1 vaccine.

Vaccine information sheets are available on the Vigo County Health Department’s Web site at www.vigocounty.org/health. Call the Vigo County Health Department at (812) 462-3428 for more information.
