TERRE HAUTE — The Indiana Department of Transportation will open the passing lane for both northbound and southbound U.S. 41 Wednesday near the Indiana 641 overpass, weather permitting.
The contractor also will close the driving lane on U.S. 41 between Woodsmall Road and Harlan Drive so crews with Wabash Valley Asphalt can place drainage structures along the highway. The driving lane is scheduled to reopen Dec. 1.
Traffic on southbound U.S. 41 will be able to use the newly constructed left turn lane for Dallas Road and the newly constructed U-turn south of the Dallas Road and U.S. 41 intersection.
