Northview headed back to Indiana State School Marching Association finals
BRAZIL — Northview will be competing in the state finals of the Indiana State School Marching Association competition again.
The Clay County band earned its spot with a top place in the Class B semistate at Pike High School in Indianapolis on Saturday.
Northview is in the finals for the 23rd consecutive year and for the 25th time. The finals will be in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Saturday. Northview is the defending champ in Class B.
The Marching Knights will begin their routine at 10:52 a.m. Gates open at 9 a.m.
Other schools in the Class B competition are Greenwood, Jasper, Concord, New Castle, DeKalb, Northridge, Floyd Central, Plainfield and Bloomington North.
Northview will seek its first back-to-back championships since doing it in 1998 and 1999. The school also did it in 1993 and 1994.
