TERRE HAUTE —
GFS Marketplace and The Salvation Army have teamed up to sponsor another Turkey Bowling benefit on Saturday, Nov. 17. The event will take place from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at GFS Marketplace, 5000 S. Seventh St.
To enter the competition participants are asked to bring a nonperishable item to donate to The Salvation Army or make a monetary donation. The winner is the lucky one to knock down the most pins while bowling with a frozen turkey and will win a complete Thanksgiving dinner compliments of GFS.
“This is always a great event every year,” says Captain Gordon Hoag, Salvation Army administrator. GFS makes it a lot of fun while at the same time it benefits those with an emergency food crisis during the holidays.”
