TERRE HAUTE — A Terre Haute man accused of stuffing five video games down his pants at the Walmart on U.S. 41 and exiting the store now faces a class-D felony theft charge in Vigo Superior Court 6.
Steven L. Tryon, 19, was arrested about 2:30 p.m. Thursday after store security reported that he had resisted their attempts to stop him from leaving the building. Detective Tim Osburn of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department said Tryon was located in the nearby Kohl’s parking lot, where he told officers he intended to sell the video games in order to buy something for his child.
Tryon has pending criminal cases for theft and robbery in Court 6.
Judge Lewis set his bail at $25,000 with no 10 percent due to the two pending cases.
