TERRE HAUTE —
An adult-healthcare expert will offer advice to people living with Parkinson’s disease and their families during a gathering in Terre Haute Friday.
Patty Butterfield, director of McMillan Adult Day Care Service, will speak at the monthly meeting of the Terre Haute Parkinson’s Support Group, scheduled for 10 to 11 a.m. Friday in Westminster Village, 1120 Davis Drive. Butterfield has served as the McMillan director for the past three years.
The meeting is free and open to the public, with people afflicted with Parkinson’s and their caregivers encouraged to attend.
Parkinson’s is the second most common neurological disorder in the U.S., with nearly 60,000 new cases diagnosed annually.
